Doomsday Dopamine Karaoke Machine (2025)

Sing karaoke while live news is streaming in the background.
This machine mimics our scrolling lives on Instagram, as social media profits off our most extreme emotions. These companies do not care when you see a cute kitten or the results of a bomb strike… as long as it feeds your dopamine-fueled addiction. What’s left is an anxiety-inducing cocktail of images stripped from their value and context. There is no more time for any valid emotions you feel, leading to a strange kind of nihilism that makes us confused about when to laugh, when to cry, or when to take action at all.
